Team Two-Times Carpenters, Russ Hemmis and Marcus Hunt, are best friends and business partners who have been refurbishing properties together in Los Angeles for the past several years. But it wasn’t always like this: After earning his degree at the University of Georgia and working in advertising for a year, Marcus decided to move to California for a change. That change came in the form of the Michelin Man – a character that Marcus brought to life in the memorable commercial campaign for Michelin Tires. This became the first in a series of fascinating TV and film characters that led to success in TV, film and commercial work. This success created the opportunity for Marcus to purchase his first home and get into real estate investing through which he met his best friend, Russ Hemmis.

The two have made many mistakes along the way, so they lead a good-humored effort in helping other Do-It-Yourselfers learn from their personal mistakes on the way to stardom. Successfully flipping homes has brought the pair to the philosophy that "there is no better way to learn than to jump in and try it… that or fix it when you've jumped too hard."
